At the press conference, regarding the leaking of exam papers, Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training said: “Preventing cheating is an issue that has been anticipated and prevented from afar through many documents and training. However, with such a large scale, there are a few isolated cases. The Ministry of Education and Training will accept and continue to research and propose a plan to prevent cheating in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security in the coming time. The two candidates who leaked the exam papers of Literature and Mathematics in Cao Bang and Yen Bai have been handled according to regulations. The Ministry of Public Security will continue to investigate and handle according to the law the relevant parties, both the subjects who transmitted and received, and the spread of the exam papers, to handle according to the provisions of the law”.

Major General Tran Dinh Chung, Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Political Security, Ministry of Public Security, informed about the leak of exam questions.

Providing more information on this issue, Major General Tran Dinh Chung, Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Political Security (A03), Ministry of Public Security, said: “In cases of leaked questions, the police will continue to clarify and verify in combination with the declarations of other related subjects to determine whether there are solutions sent in or not. Verification up to this point has not found any solutions sent in, which does not affect the exam results. Currently, there are only 2 cases that have occurred, which do not greatly affect the quality of the exam as well as the work of ensuring security and safety.”

Regarding the handling of the two candidates who took photos of the exam papers and sent them out, Major General Tran Dinh Chung said that aggravating and mitigating circumstances will be considered to handle the case according to regulations. In case criminal proceedings are required, the State's legal regulations will be followed. However, before handling the case, humane factors must be taken into account.

“We continue to investigate and verify the fact that candidates took photos of the exam papers and sent them outside. When we have the results, we will inform the press,” said Major General Tran Dinh Chung.
