Accordingly, the structure of the 10th grade entrance exam was built by the Gifted High School (Ho Chi Minh City National University) based on the content of the 2018 general education program. The school announced the accompanying sample exam to help candidates get familiar with the exam format, the level of difficulty of the exam and have a suitable review plan.

The Board of Directors of the Gifted High School said that the school's 10th grade enrollment plan for the 2025-2026 school year will basically remain the same as last year. Specifically, each candidate registering for the exam must take 4 exams, including 3 non-specialized subjects (math, literature, and English) and 1 elective specialized subject exam (among the subjects of math, literature, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, and English).
According to the Gifted High School, each candidate will be allowed to register for a maximum of 2 specialized subject exams. Of which, candidates must ensure that they choose 1 subject from each of the following subject groups: Group 1: math, literature; Group 2: physics, chemistry, biology, computer science and English.
Grade 10 enrollment for two campuses
This year is the first year that 9th graders will take the 10th grade entrance exam according to the 2018 general education program. It is expected that this year, the Gifted High School will still enroll 10th graders for two campuses.
Last school year the school enrolled 595 10th grade students.
