On February 21, the People's Police Academy officially announced the enrollment quota (new enrollment) for university training in 2025.
Accordingly, this year the People's Police Academy was assigned by the Ministry of Public Security to recruit 530 university-level training quotas for police professional groups (477 males, 53 females). These quotas are allocated according to each admission method, location and gender.
In case the academy does not recruit enough university students in the enrollment area (according to each exam combination), the enrollment quota for candidates from the remaining enrollment areas will be transferred to the Northern region, from high to low according to the enrollment regulations.
Specific enrollment criteria are as follows:

In addition, this year the People's Police Academy was assigned to recruit 150 new students to train for a second degree in police work, from candidates who already have a university degree.
In which, the enrollment target for the whole North is 100 (10 female, 90 male), the target for Ha Giang province is 50 (5 female, 45 male) .
Particularly for the quota for Ha Giang province, to improve the quality of recruitment sources, the academy allows candidates from localities across the country to register for admission.
Last year, the admission score to the People's Police Academy based on the method of considering high school graduation exam scores combined with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test scores for male candidates ranged from 20.67 to 21.52, the highest being for region 1 candidate with exam code CA2.
For female candidates, the benchmark score is 18.02 - 24.65 points, the highest in region 3 for test code CA2.
The admission score is the total score of 3 subjects in the admission combination to the People's Police School (accounting for 40%) and the score of the Ministry of Public Security exam converted to a 30-point scale (accounting for 60%) rounded to 2 decimal places plus regional priority points, subject priority points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, bonus points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.

The People's Police Academy recruits candidates from the North, from Thua Thien Hue province and beyond. The recruitment regions are as follows:
+ Region 1: Northern mountainous provinces (10 provinces): Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La.
+ Region 2: provinces and cities in the Northern Delta and midlands (15 provinces and cities): Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh.
+ Region 3: North Central provinces (6 provinces): Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue.
+ Northern Region 8: active duty soldiers stationed from Thua Thien Hue and beyond of units A09, C01, C10, C11, K01, K02.
+ Students of cultural schools register for the exam and participate in the selection process with candidates from the area that the local police send to the cultural school.
