On March 26, parents of children studying at two facilities said that some children had symptoms of severe diarrhea after the afternoon meal on March 25. They suspected that their children were poisoned, so they took their children to the hospital for examination and testing.

A representative of the Tue Duc school system confirmed the above incident. Accordingly, after students had a snack in the early afternoon of March 25, returning home that evening, some students of these two facilities experienced symptoms such as nausea and diarrhea.
According to the report of the homeroom teachers, both campuses have a total of 20 students with these symptoms, of which the Luong Dinh Cua campus has more than 10 students, the remaining 3 students are from Nguyen Thi Dinh campus. On March 26, 3 students were asked to be absent from school by their parents because they had to take their children to the hospital for a check-up.
Four students at Luong Dinh Cua campus and two students at Nguyen Thi Dinh campus had to be hospitalized. The students also returned home today. These students had symptoms of stomachache and diarrhea, but more severe than the other students, suspected of having digestive disorders.
The remaining students are in stable health and are attending school as usual. All treatment and medical examination costs for the students affected during this period will be paid by the catering suppliers for both campuses to the parents. The school has also taken food samples for testing and the results will be available after 7 days, and will report to the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City.
It is known that on the afternoon of March 25, students of both these campuses had Korean fried vermicelli and strawberry yogurt for a snack. The unit providing meals for both of these campuses of Tue Duc School is Ha Thanh International Service Joint Stock Company (Haseca).
The school still serves meals on campus, but the menu has been changed, replacing them with light dishes suitable for the current hot weather.
