Mr. Kiet said that after graduating from the electrical and electronics department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, he worked in his field for a while. Once when he visited the Central Highlands, he was impressed by the handicraft products made from bamboo. Realizing that his hometown had an abundant source of bamboo, he cherished the idea of opening a bamboo handicraft processing facility.

In 2006, he decided to quit his job and return to his hometown to start a business. With a small amount of capital, he learned the craft and bought equipment to make bamboo products. By 2013, many beautiful products were completed and brought to the market, well received by customers and they came to the facility to place orders.
Products are sold in markets such as Italy, Canada, and Japan.

"At first, no one bought the products I made, I lost everything countless times. However, I did not give up but tried to learn and explore to make the products more beautiful and of better quality, so customers accepted it," Mr. Kiet confided.
After a period of stabilizing the number of customers and capital, Mr. Kiet continued to expand the factory, investing in more modern machinery and equipment to have a closed product creation process, advanced production technology, and environmentally friendly.

Super limited product, durability 15 - 20 years
Bamboo material is carefully selected by Mr. Kiet to produce products suitable for each market segment. The manufacturing process is also very elaborate, it must balance the layout, create harmony, not too big or too small, then the product will have depth.

"In my hometown, bamboo is mainly used to make houses and products such as baskets, roofing, and traps to serve the low-cost market. Personally, I choose bamboo to make handicrafts in the high-end segment. When producing like this, there will be no pressure on quantity but only focus on quality. From there, the value of local resources can be exploited in the best way," said Mr. Kiet.

In particular, the products made by Mr. Kiet are in the high-end segment, so they are all limited and super limited editions, such as: lotus lamps, lotus pots, pens, model cars... with unique and beautiful designs. Up to now, he has received more than 2,000 large and small orders. In addition, he also received orders to export products to Italy, Canada, and Japan. Not only enriching himself, he also created stable jobs for 5 workers and about 50 people who receive goods for processing locally.

"The products I make are all bought by customers for display and collection. Therefore, they must be limited editions, sophisticated, unique and durable for 15 - 20 years. As for model cars, parts can be disassembled and assembled, each car has only one copy," said Mr. Kiet.
In the near future, Mr. Kiet will continue to diversify products, link many raw material areas; at the same time, apply modern processes in production to increase the value of handicraft products, register exclusive trademarks, protect industrial designs, and maintain green values in the production of environmentally friendly bamboo products.
