The buffalo herd reached 5,410 heads, down 0.4% over the same period last year; the cow herd reached 14,400 heads, up 1.8%. The output of buffalo meat for sale in the first 7 months was about 532 tons, up 0.9% over the same period in 2023. In the first 7 months of this year, the output of beef for sale reached 1,065 tons, up 3.1% over the same period last year.
The total poultry herd in the province is estimated at more than 16.6 million, an increase of 3.7% over the same period in 2023. The output of live poultry meat for sale in 7 months was 42,877 tons, an increase of 7.2% over the same period last year.
The output of live cattle and poultry meat for sale increased compared to the same period due to the stable livestock situation in Hai Duong, no epidemics, and good livestock development.
