The stage aims for high quality performances

The 2024 National Cai Luong Festival will take place in Can Tho City, chaired by the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - VH-TT-DL), in coordination with the Vietnam Stage Artists Association. The 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Stage Festival with the theme "Southern Aspiration", an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), was assigned by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to chair the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Vietnam Stage Artists Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Stage Association and a number of departments, branches and sectors to organize.

Some notable high-quality plays will attend the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Theater Festival such as: "Duyen The" (Thien Dang Theater); "Dong Chi" (Ho Chi Minh City Small Theater Theater); "Duc Thuong Cong Ta Quan Le Van Duyet - The One Who Carried Nine Death Sentences" and "Dai Minh Tinh" (IDECAF Theater); "The Trial" (Ho Chi Minh City Drama Theater)...

In the field of reformed opera, there are two Vietnamese historical plays: "The person carrying 9 death sentences" invested by artist Hoang Hai and the play "Tay Son female general" by artist group Binh Tinh.
