From 3am on the 25th of Tet, about 12,000 passengers arrived at Tan Son Nhat airport to return home for Tet.
According to Tan Son Nhat Airport, on January 24 (25th of Tet), the airport will serve 1,002 flights, with 150,000 arriving passengers. Of which, from 3am to 5am is the peak time with about 12,000 people gathering at the airport to prepare for morning flights back home.
From dawn on the 25th of Tet, many passengers arrived at Tan Son Nhat to return home.
Meanwhile, from 7am to 10am, the international departure area is expected to be very crowded with about 56,000 passengers.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport has reminded units to monitor the exploitation plan and exploitation frequency during peak hours to increase appropriate personnel.
In the center of Ho Chi Minh City, many passengers in the Central region used the metro from Ben Thanh to the new Eastern bus station in Thu Duc to go home.
Today, January 24, metro and other units have coordinated to introduce one-touch QR code scanning or payment on the Ho Chi Minh City metro application, without having to buy tickets or pay in cash like in the past days.
With the metro, connecting passengers to the bus station is more convenient. On January 23, the new Eastern bus station arranged about 470 buses, serving 11,000 passengers.
This morning, the Eastern Bus Station coordinated with other units to organize free buses to bring people home for Tet. Specifically, there were about 10 sleeper buses, carrying 440 passengers from Ho Chi Minh City to Nghe An bus station.

Many passengers proactively choose to fly early in the morning to avoid traffic jams on the way from home to the airport.
The number of customers is large but the queue is orderly.
The international terminal also welcomes foreign visitors returning home and domestic visitors traveling during Tet.
At the new Eastern Bus Station, vehicles are ready to serve passengers returning to their hometowns in the Central and Northern provinces.
New this year is the inauguration of metro line 1, connecting the city center with the new Eastern Bus Station.
Passengers from Ben Thanh take the metro, when arriving at Suoi Tien station, they will get off, walk a short distance to the new Mien Dong Bus Station. This is also an interesting experience.
The new Mien Dong bus station has been built spaciously. Up to now, the number of passengers returning home is not too crowded.
