'Hunting' for photos of the red flag with yellow star in Ho Chi Minh City on September 2nd

The streets and alleys in Ho Chi Minh City are full of flags and flowers, attracting many young people to come and take pictures on the first day of the National Day holiday.

To celebrate Vietnam's National Day on September 2, many streets, alleys and residential areas in Ho Chi Minh City began to hang red flags with yellow stars and the Party flag, creating a bustling and exciting atmosphere.

On the morning of August 31, places filled with colorful flags and flowers attracted many families and young people to visit and take photos on the first day of the holiday.

The weather in Ho Chi Minh City on the first day of the September 2nd holiday was cloudy, with occasional showers, but that did not stop young people from going out to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

With no plans to go far during the 4-day holiday, Huyen Trang and her friends walked around the city, looking for places decorated with national flags to take pictures. "I saw reviews and saw that on Tran Hung Dao Street (District 1) there was a small alley with beautiful flags, so we decided to go find it. The people decorated it very skillfully, the small flags intertwined with the big flag looked very impressive," Trang shared.

The area around 10A Tran Nhat Duat apartment building (District 1) attracts a large number of young people in Ho Chi Minh City to drink coffee and take photos because the shops here are decorated with red flags with yellow stars.

Coming here from 7:30 am, Thu Thuy (right, living in Binh Duong) said: "I found the concept of the shop quite suitable for the holiday season atmosphere, so I decided to come here to experience it. Sitting early in the morning with friends drinking coffee, enjoying sticky rice, watching the small flags fluttering brightly gives me a feeling of relaxation and peace in the heart of the city," Thuy shared.

Meanwhile, some young people decided to wear traditional ao dai to take photos with the national flag.

Anh Nguyet (living in Tan Binh district) said that to avoid the crowds, she traveled to Phan Thiet a week earlier than the official holiday. "During the holidays, Ho Chi Minh City becomes peaceful and quiet. Choosing ao dai as street wear amid the days filled with flags and flowers gives me an indescribable feeling of pride and joy," Nguyet shared with Tri Thuc - Znews.

Knowing about this place through TikTok, Hang and Luyen (Thu Duc City) chose this as a stop for the first day of the holiday. Both said that there are not many places to have fun in Ho Chi Minh City, so going out for drinks and watching flags and flowers is quite an interesting experience during the holiday. "This area is airy, with little traffic, so the air is fresh and pleasant, taking pictures is quite beautiful without disturbing passersby," Hang shared.

Rows of houses in Sala urban area (Thu Duc city) are also hung with red flags with yellow stars. The straight rows of flags fluttering in the wind bring a proud and excited atmosphere.
