These days, the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Son Tay, Hanoi) is filled with colors with the "Spring Colors Across the Country" Festival, Spring of the Year of the Snake 2025.
Coming to the Cultural Village on this occasion, people and tourists can immerse themselves in the colorful festival atmosphere, to feel more deeply the values and traditional cultural beauty of Vietnamese ethnic groups in the traditional Tet and spring activities. Such as the opening ceremony of the Tower of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan province; The opening ceremony and introduction and performance of the bamboo calendar - the national intangible cultural heritage of the Muong people in Hoa Binh province; Re-enactment of the new rice celebration of the Raglai people in Ninh Thuan province...
Not only is it a place to recreate unique customs, the Festival is also an opportunity for ethnic communities to meet, exchange and strengthen solidarity. Visitors from all over flock to join the bustling crowd, participate in folk games, enjoy traditional cuisine and admire unique art performances. All create a jubilant, bustling atmosphere, full of spring and solidarity.
According to artisan Dang Chi Quyet, a Cham ethnic group from Ninh Thuan province, each activity at the Cultural Village is a spiritual connection, an opportunity to express love and pride in national identity. At the same time, it contributes to the overall development of the country.
“Culture is the soul of a nation. If it is not preserved and passed on, those values can gradually fade away over time. Being more aware of our responsibilities, we must try to unite and make more efforts to promote the role of cultural subjects, preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of our nation,” shared artisan Dang Chi Quyet.
Immersing herself in the melodies of the Khai Ha festival of the Muong ethnic group from Hoa Binh, Ms. Nguyen Thi Luyen, from Nghe An, shared: “Before, when I was working in Hanoi, I occasionally visited the Cultural Village on weekends. Today, when I returned here, not only me but almost everyone was very happy to directly participate in the traditional ceremonies, enjoy the unique art performances and experience the traditional Tet atmosphere imbued with national identity.”
This year's festival has the participation of more than 200 people, including representatives of village elders, outstanding village chiefs, intellectuals, and artisans of 28 ethnic communities, 29 mobilized communities from 14 provinces representing ethnic groups and regions.
