"Colors of Vietnamese ethnic culture" in April at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism

The April activities had the participation of more than 100 people from 16 ethnic groups who are active daily, including village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and ethnic people: Tay, Nung (Thai Nguyen); Dao (Hanoi); Mong (Ha Giang); Muong (Hoa Binh); Lao, Thai, Kho Mu (Son La); Ta Oi, Co Tu (Hue City); Xo Dang (Kon Tum); Ba Na, Gia Rai (Gia Lai); Raglai (Ninh Thuan); Ede (Dak Lak); Khmer (Soc Trang).

In addition, 25 Xinh Mun ethnic people (Son La province); about 40 Ha Nhi and Mong ethnic people (Lai Chau province) and about 25 Tay and Nung ethnic people (Cao Bang province) were mobilized to participate on weekends and holidays...

April activities “Colors of Vietnamese ethnic culture” include recreating the Highland Market with the theme “Highland rendezvous”, introducing the photo space of the colorful culture of the highlands with about more than 100 photos of Lai Chau province’s tourism culture, the program “Colors of the market” of the people participating in the market, performing and experiencing the Khen dance, introducing and performing the rice cake pounding, the beeswax printing art of the Mong people in Lai Chau province, a space to introduce traditional crafts, experiencing the culture of the highlands and folk games to interact with tourists.

In addition, visitors in April also have the opportunity to experience a number of reenacted festivals such as the Gau Tao Festival of the Mong ethnic group in Lai Chau province, the Mang Ma festival of the Xinh Mun ethnic group in Son La province, the Rainy Season Festival of the Ha Nhi ethnic group in Lai Chau province, and the village ghost worshiping ritual of the Kho Mu ethnic group in Son La province.

Within the framework of April activities, some cultural and tourism spaces of localities were also introduced to visitors, such as the culture of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups in Cao Bang province, the cultural space of Then singing and Tinh lute of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups in Cao Bang province, and the folk song and dance program "Proud of the descendants of the Dragon and Fairy" at the "Common House".

In particular, the highlight in April is the activities of displaying and introducing tourism in Binh Dinh province with photo exhibitions, display spaces, and introduction of tourism products.

In addition, on weekends, there is also a folk song and dance program "Colors of the Highlands" of the ethnic minorities in the North operating daily in the Village, an exchange of "Central Highlands Love Songs", along with activities of ethnic groups operating daily such as connecting experiences between ethnic groups and tourists, performing traditional folk games, performing ethnic musical instruments, ethnic cuisine, a tour program according to the experience package, Buddhist activities organized according to the traditional rituals of Chol Chnam Thmay New Year at the Khmer pagoda, recreating the daily activities of the ethnic groups living in the Village.
