Sabeco has just appointed Mr. Lester Tan Teck Chuan as general director from October 1.
Mr. Lester Tan, a Singaporean national, has over 28 years of experience in the beer and beverage industry in Asian markets, including Thailand, Myanmar, Mongolia and Singapore. Prior to his leadership role at Sabeco, he was the General Manager of Beer at ThaiBev PLC, responsible for the Thai beer market from 2020 to 2023.

Mr. Lester Tan replaces previous CEO Bennett Neo Gim Siong who has ended his 5-year term in Vietnam.
The change in the CEO position is part of Sabeco’s human resources plan. According to the company’s board of directors, this is the right time for the company to bring new elements into the leadership team, improve business capacity, optimize processes, and implement fundamental transformation initiatives.
"We believe that the new leader will lead breakthrough business strategies and take this century-old company to even greater heights," said a Sabeco representative.
In his new role as CEO, Mr. Lester Tan will lead the second phase of Sabeco's transformation, planning development strategies for all business activities and sustainable development while consolidating the core strengths of the corporation, according to the Group's strategic vision to 2025.
"I will continue to promote the company's growth towards sustainable development, enhance shareholder value, and continue to contribute to bringing positive socio-economic impacts to local communities where we operate, and to Vietnam," said the new general director of Sabeco.

According to the consolidated financial report for 2022, Sabeco recorded net revenue of VND34,979 billion and profit after tax of VND5,500 billion, up 32% and 40% respectively compared to 2021. This is the company's highest profit after tax ever. According to a report by NielsenIQ Vietnam, Saigon Beer brand maintained its leading position in beer market share by output as of August this year.
