After officially becoming the head coach of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim is planning to rebuild the team, including recruiting young talents. One of the names that Amorim wants to bring to Old Trafford is Geovany Quenda, a 17-year-old player of Sporting Lisbon.

According to A Bola, Amorim recommended the MU board to recruit Quenda, and the Manchester team contacted Sporting before Amorim joined MU. MU plans to complete this deal in the summer transfer window next year.
Quenda has just signed a new contract with Sporting until 2027, with his release clause rising from £38m to £84m. Despite only breaking into the first team this season, Quenda has quickly established himself as a regular starter, playing as a right wing-back. With his pace and sharp passing ability, Quenda is considered a promising talent, and Amorim believes his former pupil can become a star of the future if he develops in the right direction.
