In 2025, the Diplomatic Academy will enroll students in four ways: Direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; combined admission based on high school academic results and international certificates/international standardized competency tests; combined admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam and international certificates/international standardized competency tests; admission based on the results of the 2025 graduation exam.
With the combined admission method based on high school academic results and international certificates/international standardized competency tests, in addition to the general conditions as prescribed, candidates must have an average score of 8.0 or higher in the 6 semesters of grades 10, 11, and 12.
The conversion rate on a 10-point scale of international certificates/international standardized competency tests is as follows:

- The formula for calculating admission scores is as follows: Admission scores (maximum 30) = A+B+C+D. In which:
A is the conversion point of international certificates/international standardized competency tests;
B is the sum of the average score of the learning results of 2 subjects other than foreign language (must include math or literature) in the Academy's admission combination of 6 semesters of grades 10, 11, 12.
C is the Academy's incentive score for candidates who win high school excellent student awards (if any);
D is the priority score according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (if any).

IELTS score 6.5 = 1
IELTS score 7.0 = 2
IELTS score 7.5 = 2.5
IELTS score ≥ 8.0 = 3
