At the book introduction, journalist Nguyen Anh Tu, Permanent Vice President of the City Journalists Association emphasized that this is a meaningful event on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, to express deep gratitude to those who sacrificed and contributed for the independence and unification of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the People, and at the same time promote the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", and respect for journalist, soldier, war invalid Kim Toan, former Editor-in-Chief of Hai Phong Newspaper, former President of the Hai Phong Journalists Association.

Working as a journalist since the age of 20, as a reporter for Liberation Newspaper, with 9 years of fighting with both weapons and pens on the Southern battlefield, now at the age of 84, journalist, soldier, and war invalid Kim Toan is still diligently writing. The book "Two times crossing Truong Son" consists of 3 parts with 449 pages, which are elaborate records of a vivid reality of the war that journalist Kim Toan and his comrades experienced.
Part 1, "Exploring the Truong Son Mountains" from March 16, 1966 to July 28, 1966, is 4 months and 11 days of marching to the South with a spirit of not being afraid of sacrifice and hardship, ready for the homeland and country of an entire generation of heroes.
Part 2, "The Vast Truong Son Range" from February 11, 1974 to May 1974, is the journey of "marching (to the North) while the revolution in the South was growing strong, our army and people continuously won great victories, and the American invaders were forced to gradually withdraw back home".
Part 3 is filled with pages of love that friends and colleagues have for journalist, soldier, and war invalid Kim Toan.

Commenting on the book “Twice Crossing Truong Son”, journalist Ha Minh Hue, former Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, was moved to say: “Indeed, reading every page, every line of his notes, very detailed, specific and vivid, I saw that he “blends” into a brave and courageous collective, “blends” into the fight of the whole nation to reach the goal of liberating the South... His notes are an indispensable piece in the overall picture of the glorious feats of our nation in the 20th century, and until now, artists are still anxiously waiting for a worthy literary and artistic work, whether it is a film or a literary work”.
On this occasion, the City Journalists Association presented journalist, soldier and war invalid Kim Toan with a restored image of journalist Kim Toan (Cao Kim) working in the trenches fighting the Americans on Highway 13, Binh Long - Binh Phuoc, August 1966. Hanoi National University Publishing House presented 100 copies of the book "Twice Crossing Truong Son" to officers and soldiers of Truong Sa archipelago.
