The National Assembly reviewed personnel work and passed many important laws and resolutions.

Specifically, according to the agenda of the 8th session, on the afternoon of November 25, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the Draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising; discussed solutions to continue to remove difficulties caused by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic so that Vietnam Airlines Corporation can soon recover and develop sustainably.

On November 26, the National Assembly discussed work reports of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy; crime prevention and control; enforcement of judgments; and corruption prevention and control in 2024.

On the morning of November 27, the National Assembly voted to pass: the Law on People's Air Defense; the amended Law on Trade Unions; the National Assembly's Resolution on investment policy for the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period and discussed in the hall the Draft Law on Employment (amended).

On the afternoon of November 27, the National Assembly voted to pass the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance; Resolution on investment policy for the National Target Program on Drug Prevention and Control until 2030 and discussed in the hall the Draft Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended).

According to the meeting agenda, after 4:45 p.m. on November 27 and the morning (until 8:30 a.m.) of November 28, the National Assembly will hold a separate meeting on personnel work.

From 8:30 to 11:00 on November 28, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the Draft Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended).

From 11:00 a.m. on November 28, the National Assembly continued to meet separately on personnel work.

On the afternoon of November 28, the National Assembly voted to pass a Resolution on piloting the handling of evidence and assets during the investigation, prosecution and trial of a number of criminal cases. Voted to pass the amended Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking.

On the morning of November 29, the National Assembly voted to pass the Law on Geology and Minerals; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army; and the Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting, and Rescue.

On the afternoon of November 29, the National Assembly voted to pass the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Securities Law, the Accounting Law, the Independent Audit Law, the State Budget Law, the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets, the Tax Administration Law and the Law on National Reserves.

On November 30 (the last working day of the session), the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution: Establishing Hue City under the Central Government; organizing urban government in Hai Phong City and discussing in the hall the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry.

On the afternoon of November 30, the National Assembly voted to approve resolutions on investment policies for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis.
