Quang Ngai: Opening of mass art festival

On the evening of March 24, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Quang Ngai Provincial Mass Arts Festival. Attending the opening ceremony were Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Bui Duc Tho; and representatives of relevant departments, branches, agencies, units and localities.

The 2025 Quang Ngai Province Mass Arts Festival has 9 units participating from different localities, including: Son Tinh, Son Ha, Tu Nghia, Minh Long, Quang Ngai City, Mo Duc, Ba To, Binh Son, Tra Bong.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Tien Dung presented souvenir flags to units participating in the festival.

Coming to this year’s festival, the units performed special art programs, with singing, dancing, and music performances that were meticulously staged and carefully rehearsed. Each unit had about 20-25 minutes to perform, corresponding to 4-5 performances.

The themes of the performances praise the Party, Uncle Ho and the traditional revolutionary values ​​of the homeland and country; deeply depicting the spirit of solidarity and heroic fighting of previous generations in the struggle to liberate the nation, unify the country and protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Images from movements to build cultural life, typical examples at the grassroots level; unique cultural values, economic and social achievements of the homeland and country are also exploited and expressed by units in the performances.

The spirit of solidarity and heroic fighting of previous generations in the struggle for national liberation, national unification and protection of the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland is vividly recreated in the performances.

The Quang Ngai Provincial Mass Arts Festival is held every two years, with the goal of contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people; preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values ​​of the nation.

This activity also aims to create conditions for those working in culture and arts to exchange, learn, share experiences and demonstrate their talents. From there, promoting the mass arts movement in the province to develop and spread strongly.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Tien Dung emphasized that this year's festival is even more special and meaningful as it takes place at a time when the whole province is filled with a joyful and exciting atmosphere to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Quang Ngai Province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025). In particular, this is the first time the festival is held at the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, a newly put into use, large-scale and magnificent, with a signboard welcoming the 21st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

With modern infrastructure, the center not only ensures convenience for organizing events but also creates ideal conditions for units participating in the festival to maximize the performance capacity of artists and actors; contributing to improving the quality of festival activities.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Tien Dung delivered the opening speech of the festival.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, there will be a competition of the units, including: Son Tinh, Son Ha, Tu Nghia, Minh Long, Quang Ngai City. The remaining units will compete and perform on the night of March 25. After that, the Organizing Committee will summarize and award the units.
