According to the plan to enroll in non-specialized public grade 10 from the 2025-2026 school year, Quang Nam will organize three-subject exams, combined with considering junior high school transcripts for enrollment, after 10 years, only considering enrollment.

Enrollment targets are based on school size, management staff, teachers, employees, facilities, equipment and other necessary conditions for teaching and learning according to regulations and balanced with the general enrollment rate of the locality (district level).

The Department of Education and Training allocates quotas for each public high school, ensuring the target of streaming according to the directives and instructions of competent authorities.

The enrollment rate for grade 10 public high schools in the province is implemented according to the following roadmap: 2025-2026 school year: No more than 80% of junior high school graduates will be recruited. From the 2026-2027 school year: The quota will be determined based on the directives and instructions of competent authorities.

The above admission rate includes students who are eligible for direct admission, students who graduated from junior high school of private educational institutions in the province, and educational institutions outside Quang Nam province who wish to study at public high schools and is calculated after deducting the number of students admitted to specialized high schools and the provincial high school for ethnic minorities.

For high schools with special characteristics, based on the requests of localities and schools on enrollment targets; Quang Nam Department of Education and Training will advise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.

The exam schedule is expected to be in the first half of June every year (the specific exam date will be determined by the Department of Education and Training, ensuring the time is consistent with the High School Graduation Exam). Subjects: Literature, Math, English.

Admission score is the total score of three subjects, plus academic transcript score and priority points (if any), total is 40. The calculation of 4-year secondary school transcript score is as follows:

The admission plan stipulates that each student can register for a maximum of two wishes (NV). Of which, NV1 requires admission to a high school in the same district as the middle school where the candidate is studying. With NV2, candidates can register for any school.

Students who want to take exams to enter specialized schools and provincial boarding schools for ethnic minorities will have their own regulations.

The 2025-2026 public grade 10 entrance exam is the first year that candidates complete the new general education program at the secondary level. The program is designed to assess capacity, with some subjects integrated such as Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Social Sciences (History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education); Technology and Arts (Technology, Information Technology, Arts).

For the 2006 General Education Program: Evaluate and classify students' conduct into 4 categories: Good, Fair, Average, Poor. Evaluate and classify students' academic performance into 5 categories: Excellent, Fair, Average, Weak, Poor.

For the 2018 General Education Program: Evaluate students' training and learning results according to 4 levels: Good, Fair, Achieved, Unachieved.
