Firefighting and rescue sports competition, region I

On April 18, at Pac Bo Square (City), the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to organize the 2025 Fire Fighting and Rescue Sports Competition, Round 2, Region I.

Attending the event were: Major General Nguyen Dinh Hoan, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH), Ministry of Public Security; Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Colonel Vu Hong Quang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department; leaders of the police of the provinces in Region I; more than 200 athletes from 12 delegations: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Lao Cai.

In his opening speech, Major General Nguyen Dinh Hoan, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, said: In recent times, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force has resolutely implemented the instructions of the Party, Government, and Ministry of Public Security on ensuring fire prevention and rescue safety. Since the beginning of the year, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force nationwide has participated in extinguishing many fires and rescues; directly rescued and guided hundreds of people to escape; organized the movement and saved tens of billions of VND worth of property. These results have contributed to minimizing human and property damage caused by fires, explosions, accidents, and incidents, creating a safe living environment for people, and have been recognized and commended by leaders and people at all levels.

Major General Nguyen Dinh Hoan, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh presented flowers and souvenir flags to the competing teams.

Speaking at the competition, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh emphasized: The CC&CNCH professional sports competition is an activity of great significance. The competition contributes to training health, improving physical strength, technical tactics, and fighting spirit for the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force, and is an opportunity for units to exchange, learn, and share valuable experiences in practical work. This is also a practical activity to propagate and raise the sense of responsibility of the whole society for the work of fire prevention and rescue. In Cao Bang, closely following the direction of the Central Government, based on the practical situation and the nature of the locality, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee always pay attention to leading and directing the work of fire prevention and rescue. In particular, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force and the Provincial Police are focused on developing to be increasingly standardized, elite, and modern; Regularly practice, train skills, professional skills, improve combat health, promptly participate in search and rescue, save people, property and serve the people, making an important contribution to the overall development of the country and the province. In the Health Congress program "For National Security", Cao Bang was honored to be chosen as the host of the second round of the competition. This is a favorable condition for the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Cao Bang Provincial Police to study and exchange experiences with other provinces, thereby improving the effectiveness in performing tasks, serving well the work of Fire Prevention and Rescue, preventing crimes, maintaining security, order and social safety.

Athletes participate in the 4x100m firefighting and rescue relay race.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, athletes competed in the 4 x 100m relay race for rescue and firefighting amid the cheers of fans. Previously, on April 17, the teams competed in 2 events: CC&CNCH Command and CNCH Swimming.

Leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Police awarded prizes to the competing teams.

As a result, for the CC&CNCH command competition, the first prize went to Son La Provincial Police, the second prize went to Tuyen Quang Provincial Police, and the third prize went to Dien Bien Provincial Police. For the CNCH swimming competition, the first prize went to Son La Provincial Police, the second prize went to Thai Nguyen Provincial Police, and the third prize went to Tuyen Quang Provincial Police. For the 4x100m firefighting and rescue relay competition, the first prize went to Tuyen Quang Provincial Police, the second prize went to Son La Provincial Police, and the third prize went to Dien Bien Provincial Police.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Son La Provincial Police; the second prize to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police; and the third prize to the Dien Bien Provincial Police. These will be the three teams representing Region I to participate in the final round held in Hanoi in the near future.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 3 individuals; the Provincial Police Director awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 9 individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing the contest.
