50 years of Dong Thap literature and art after the country's reunification, issues and development orientation

DTO - On the morning of April 18, at the Provincial Party Committee's hall, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department (PMO) of the Provincial Party Committee organized a scientific workshop on "50 years of Dong Thap literature and arts after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); issues and development orientations" (abbreviated as Scientific Workshop). Comrade Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended and delivered the opening speech at the workshop.

Attending the scientific workshop were former provincial leaders, Provincial Party Committee members; representatives of some provincial departments, branches and sectors; standing members of district, city Party Committees, Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee; researchers, scientists of academies, universities, colleges, political schools, and representatives of artists inside and outside the province.

Speaking at the opening of the Workshop, Comrade Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the Scientific Workshop is one of the series of activities of the province associated with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed about the province's outstanding achievements in recent times, expressing his respect for the contributions of artists to the development of the homeland. Over the past 50 years, Dong Thap's culture and arts have grown stronger and stronger, many artists have devoted their hearts to art, bringing many creative products, deeply reflecting the thoughts and feelings of the people, contributing to creating a colorful picture of life and people of Dong Thap.

In the modern context, when culture and art are facing many challenges, the team of artists must make more efforts to preserve and develop the unique values ​​of their homeland. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that with consensus and determination, Dong Thap literature and art will continue to expand, not only domestically but also internationally. The province will continue to build a creative environment for artists, writers and poets to develop new ideas, bringing meaningful and valuable works to the province's cultural and artistic life.

The scientific conference received the attention of many researchers, scientists, and artists inside and outside the province. The Conference Organizing Committee received 59 presentations revolving around 3 groups of topics: an overview of Dong Thap culture and arts in 50 years (1975 - 2025); the attention and leadership of the Party Committee and the government towards culture and arts in the past 50 years; issues raised and development orientations.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Minh - Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts shares about the current situation and proposes solutions to develop Dong Thap Fine Arts creation activities.

At the Workshop, delegates, scientists and researchers presented many papers and discussed focusing on the following contents: theoretical basis and leadership role of Party committees, State management of cultural and artistic activities; practical basis and lessons learned, orientation for the development of Dong Thap culture and artistic activities to 2030, vision to 2045; opportunities and challenges; preservation and development of Dong Thap culture and artistic activities associated with the implementation of Dong Thap Human Standards. In addition, some opinions analyzed and clarified the positive impacts of the Party and State's policies and guidelines on the development of culture and artistic activities; the formation and development of generations of artists - the inheritance and continuation of the role and position of Dong Thap artists in the development process of Dong Thap culture and artistic activities over the past 50 years. At the same time, it discusses the achievements, limitations, and difficulties of Dong Thap's culture and arts after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)...
