When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out (in 2020), a series of border management, protection, and epidemic prevention checkpoints were established along the entire An Giang border, mobilizing forces to participate and be on duty 24/7. Currently, the epidemic situation is under control, but some border checkpoints are still maintained, continuing to perform the task of managing and protecting the border, preventing illegal entry and exit and crime.
