(QBĐT) - According to information from the Department of Education and Training (DET), at the National Science and Technology (S&T) Competition for high school students in the 2024-2025 school year organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, our province participated with 3 projects and had 1 project win third prize and 1 project win fourth prize.
Accordingly, the project "Isolation of polyphenol compounds in Alocasia macrorrhizos tubers to create functional foods to support gout treatment" in the field of biochemistry by the group of students Le Minh Hoang and Luu Dieu Chau at Tran Phu High School (Bo Trach) won third prize.
The project "Some solutions to restore and promote the value of the folk performing art of Ke Hieng" in the field of Social-Behavioral Sciences by two students Phan Le Na and Nguyen Duc Bao from Luong The Vinh High School (Ba Don Town) won fourth prize.
The results of the contest confirmed that the teaching, learning and scientific research movement of students and teachers in general, Tran Phu High School and Luong The Vinh High School in particular, has made remarkable progress.
Thereby, it also affirms that the attention, direction and guidance of the Department of Education and Training has brought about clear results when achieving the achievements that the whole industry has strived for and achieved in the past time.
The National Science and Technology Competition for High School Students for the 2024-2025 school year was held in Ho Chi Minh City from March 19-21 with 74 units and 212 projects participating (an increase of 63 projects compared to the 2023-2024 school year).
Of the total 212 projects, there were 23 individual projects, 189 group projects; 190 projects of high school students and 22 projects of middle school students. There were 401 students participating, including 358 high school students and 43 middle school students.
