On September 1, Truong Sa District Medical Center (Khanh Hoa province) said it had just provided emergency treatment to a fisherman from Binh Dinh province who had an accident and was seriously injured.

Previously, at around 6:00 p.m. on August 31, while fishing in the sea about 68 nautical miles from Truong Sa Island, Mr. Tran Di (70 years old, residing in Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province) had his leg wrapped in a fishing net, nearly severing his right ankle.

Mr. Di was taken to Truong Sa Medical Center for emergency treatment by ship BD 97652 TS at 8:30 this morning.

The patient was tested by a team of doctors from Truong Sa District Medical Center for blood count, blood biochemistry, X-ray, emergency abdominal ultrasound, rehydration, electrolytes, antibiotics, pain relief, and nutrition.

Currently, the wound near the right ankle is bleeding, with the risk of infection progressing...

Truong Sa District Medical Center consulted with Military Hospital 175 to continue monitoring the patient's condition and promptly report any abnormalities.
