On January 22, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City officially launched AI to take care of student health.
According to Ms. Le Thi Binh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Nhuan District, this AI healthcare not only aims to ensure the physical and mental health of students but also promotes digital transformation in education; accompanying educational institutions and parents in comprehensive care and education of students.
"The highlight of AI in student health care is that it helps to closely coordinate between schools, parents, and medical facilities. This will bring about positive changes in the process of school health care," said Ms. Binh.
Phu Nhuan District Department of Education and Training informed that AI student health care includes a web-based administrative account for 3 users. In which, the management staff of the Department of Education and Training will view and collect statistics on the health of students at preschool, primary and secondary levels.
Medical staff and school administrators will manage, synchronize data entry, analyze statistics of BMI indexes, and children's diseases according to regulations of the Ministry of Health; conduct assessments and conclusions on students' health during the first health check-up of the year; provide information on student health insurance; provide health consultation with AI; and provide health consultation information with hospitals and medical centers in the district.
Parents can regularly monitor information and conclusions about their children's health during the first health check-up of the year; experience health consultation tools with AI; contact hospitals and medical centers in the district for consultation...
In phase 1, the Phu Nhuan District Department of Education and Training has built the foundation of the system with features for managing student health records, integrating health insurance, statistics on student health status, using chat boxes to provide health consultation with AI based on the results of students' health check-ups at the beginning of the year.
In the coming time, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Nhuan District will develop AI in the direction of analyzing and making predictions about students' health; providing connections and consultations with medical specialists based on the health and mental status of students. Thereby strengthening disease prevention, expanded vaccination, food hygiene, prevention of malnutrition, obesity, school psychology counseling, physical exercise... for students.
AI for student health care has been piloted
According to Ms. Le Thi Binh, since October 2024, AI for student health care has been piloted at 6 schools in Phu Nhuan district, including: Son Ca 10 Kindergarten, Son Ca 14 Kindergarten, Cao Ba Quat Primary School, Van Tuong Primary School, Dao Duy Anh Secondary School, and Tran Huy Lieu Secondary School.
Currently, the Department of Education and Training has organized intensive training for managers, teachers, and medical staff to be able to use it proficiently, and at the same time, guide parents to use it. From January 2025, AI for student health care will be deployed in all schools from kindergarten to secondary school in Phu Nhuan district.
