TPO - According to the plan, in Thach That district, there are 6 administrative units subject to rearrangement. After the rearrangement, the district will have 20 administrative units, 3 communes less than at present.
The People's Committee of Thach That district (Hanoi) has just announced a plan to arrange commune-level administrative units subject to arrangement in the district in the period 2023-2025.
According to the People's Committee of Thach That district, the district currently has 23 administrative units. Including 22 communes and 1 town. In the period of 2023-2025, the district has 6 administrative units to be rearranged, including the communes: Di Nau, Canh Nau, Chang Son, Thach Xa, Huu Bang, Binh Phu.
Specifically, according to the plan, the natural area and population of Di Nau and Canh Nau communes will be merged into a new administrative unit called Lam Son commune. Lam Son commune will have a natural area of 8.26 km2 (39.6% of the standard), and a population of 24,670 people (308% of the standard).

Merge the natural area and population of Chang Son commune and Thach Xa commune into a new administrative unit called Thach Xa commune. After the arrangement, Thach Xa commune has a natural area of 6.14 km2 (29.2% of the standard), and a population of 19,526 people (244% of the standard).
Merge the natural area and population of Huu Bang commune and Binh Phu commune into a new administrative unit called Quang Trung commune. After the arrangement, Quang Trung commune has a natural area of 6.84 km2 (reaching 32.5% of the standard), and a population of 31,271 people (reaching 390% of the standard).
According to the People's Committee of Thach That district, Cam Yen commune is subject to administrative unit rearrangement, but the locality has not carried out the rearrangement because it is located in an area with special factors. Specifically, the administrative boundary of Cam Yen commune has been formed stably and has not been changed or adjusted since 1945.
Thus, after the arrangement, Thach That district will have 20 administrative units, including 19 communes and 1 town.
The People's Committee of Thach That district also said that after the administrative unit is reorganized, people's lives will also be affected due to changes in paperwork and administrative procedures. The previous cultural structure of the village will also change, affecting people's lives to a certain extent.
In addition, there will be a number of redundant cadres, civil servants and workers. This will affect the psychology of the cadres and it will take time to arrange, assign or resolve the regime and policies for these cadres.
The District People's Committee will direct the authorities of the new communes to proactively implement and create favorable conditions for people to carry out procedures to convert documents related to relatives or production and business activities; not collect fees when converting documents due to changes in administrative boundaries.
The District People's Committee will rearrange the management leadership team, maintain the same job titles and positions, and respond to work in a stable manner, without disrupting each job position according to regulations. At the same time, the district strives to develop quickly, comprehensively, and sustainably in the economic, cultural, and social fields, maintain political security, social order and safety, and improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
The District People's Committee and the communes subject to rearrangement will step up propaganda work, creating consensus among cadres, party members and people on the policy and plan to rearrange commune-level administrative units.
