On the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Fisheries Industry (April 1, 1959 - April 1, 2025), on the morning of April 1 at Dong Tac fishing port, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Phu Yen coordinated with the People's Committee of Tuy Hoa City, the Provincial Fisheries Association, and the Provincial Buddhist Sangha to organize a launching ceremony to release seeds to restore aquatic resources.
At the launching ceremony, more than 1 million giant tiger prawns were released in the Da Dien estuary (Tuy Hoa City). Through the event, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the People's Committee of Tuy Hoa City called on all organizations, individuals and coastal communities to raise awareness and responsibility in participating in the work of protecting the marine environment, protecting fishing grounds and regenerating aquatic resources.
Fishermen need to participate in fishing at the right time, with the right mesh size, and aim for sustainable offshore fishing, not destructive fishing that damages the environment...
