Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc signed and issued Decision No. 960/QD-TTg dated September 11, 2024 to provide rice from the national reserve to support 14 localities affected by storm No. 3, including Phu Tho. This is also the second time Phu Tho province has been on the list of localities that the Government has provided reserve rice to support during this storm.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance to provide 200 tons of rice from the national reserve without charge to the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense (100 tons of rice each) to provide relief to people in the following localities: Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Hoa Binh, Son La, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son affected by storm No. 3 in 2024.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense to proactively work directly with the Ministry of Finance to organize the reception of national reserve goods in accordance with regulations. At the same time, he directed functional units to actively and proactively coordinate with the above localities to urgently organize relief to ensure timely, appropriate needs, objects, and norms according to regulations, avoiding loss and waste.
Previously, on September 10, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc also signed and issued Decision No. 953/QD-TTg assigning the Ministry of Finance to issue 200 tons of rice from the national reserve without charge to the Ministries of Public Security and National Defense (100 tons of rice each) to provide relief to the people of the 14 localities mentioned above.
