On the afternoon of April 17, at the Government Office, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, chaired the 11th meeting of the Council for the 2021-2026 term. Also attending were comrades: Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the Council; Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Party Central Committee member, Vice President, First Vice Chairman of the Council.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that emulation and reward work is of great significance in 2025 - a year with many important anniversaries of the country. In 2024 and early 2025, the completion of institutions related to emulation and reward work will be enhanced.
The Prime Minister stated that the rewards must ensure fairness, objectivity, honesty, exemplary character, and outstanding achievements; at the same time, a strict system must be built, on that basis, good implementation must be carried out.
Recently, the Council has launched a national emulation movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, which has been supported and agreed by people nationwide, demonstrating the spirit of humanity, demonstrating the spirit of "those who have merit help merit, those who have property help property, those who have little help little, those who have much help much", which has truly come into life; in addition, there is also a 500-day and night emulation movement to complete 3,000km of highways nationwide; an emulation movement to complete the 500kV Line 3 Quang Trach-Pho Noi project. These movements closely link the interests of the people and come into life."
Recently, the Prime Minister launched the “Digital Literacy for All” movement. The Council is preparing to launch a nationwide movement to compete in innovation and digital transformation with a systematic, focused and key organization.
The Prime Minister noted the need to strongly promote the movement of learning foreign languages, information technology, and environmental protection among young people; ensuring that the movements can "survive".
The Prime Minister requested that from now until 2030, it is necessary to continue launching a competition movement to complete 5,000km of highways.
The Prime Minister said that on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, it is necessary to select projects to be inaugurated and started simultaneously to create momentum and movement for the country, to make the people excited; and to promote public investment in the context of difficult export motivation.
The Prime Minister pointed out that this year is the year of organizing Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress, so there must be movements to create momentum throughout the country. Emulation and reward work must be objective, honest, and promote advanced models, good people, good deeds, and heroic fighters; the Central Emulation and Reward Committee needs to develop a specific plan for this, so that the younger generation can be proud of the previous generation, proud of the Fatherland, especially so that the country can enter a new era - the era of the nation's rise to develop richly, civilizedly, and prosperously...
