(NLDO) – On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of My Son being recognized as a world cultural heritage, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai visited and worked with the management board.
On the morning of December 3, during a working trip to Quang Nam province, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai and his delegation visited and worked with the Management Board of My Son Cultural Heritage in Duy Phu commune (Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam).

On this occasion, the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board also organized activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of My Son being recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage (December 4, 1999 - December 4, 2024).
Reporting to the working delegation of the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Mr. Nguyen Cong Khiet, Director of the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board, said that over the past 25 years, the management and conservation of the temple complex has always received attention from the Central and local governments as well as international organizations.
From a relic destroyed by time and war, the architectural works at My Son have been repaired, reinforced, and restored, escaping ruin and entering a stable and sustainable phase.

The most typical work in the management and conservation of My Son Temple Complex after 25 years of being honored until now is the project to restore tower group G under the 3-party cooperation program between the Italian Government, UNESCO and Vietnam. From 2011 to 2015, the Institute for Monuments Conservation implemented the project to restore and preserve tower E7. The project to preserve and embellish the world cultural heritage of My Son Temple Complex, groups of towers A, H, K, supported by the Government of India from 2016 to 2022. Construction of an exhibition house, research and introduction of My Son sponsored by JICA (Japan) in 2005...
Recognizing and appreciating the achievements of the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board in restoring and preserving the relic site, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai requested the Board's officials and leaders as well as local authorities to further strengthen the work of diversifying tourism products associated with ecology.

Continue to coordinate well with relevant units to have solutions to preserve and promote My Son sustainably and stably in the long term; avoid negative impacts from the unsustainable conservation and development process.
Regarding the National Assembly's recent passing of the Law on Cultural Heritage (amended), approving the investment policy of the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025 - 2035, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai requested local authorities and relevant agencies to study and apply in practice the work of preserving and developing My Son cultural heritage; how to maximize the unique cultural and architectural values of the homeland with two world cultural heritages (My Son heritage and Hoi An ancient town).
