Since the implementation of the OCOP Program, Tuong Duong district has had 33 products certified to meet 3-star standards. Notable among them is the Tuong Duong Bo Giang product of the Thao Hao Bo Giang Production and Trading Cooperative. Ms. Tran Thi Thao - Head of Thao Hao Cooperative shared: "Bo giang is currently a specialty of the highlands, famous for its unique flavor, very popular in the plains. On normal days, the Cooperative processes about 30 kg of bo giang, but in the last months of the year, especially near Tet, consumption increases dramatically, reaching about 1 ton per month".
To make delicious beef jerky, Ms. Thao said, we must choose local cows, each cow can only produce about 10 kg of grade 1 meat. The processing requires meticulousness, from the marinating stage with a secret recipe to the meat-stretch stage. The beef is dried in the gentle sunlight during the day, and at night, it is brought to the wood stove to dry for many hours. This process lasts continuously for 5 days until the meat is evenly dried, achieving a characteristic delicious flavor.
In addition to beef jerky, Ms. Thao’s cooperative also produces pork jerky, smoked pork belly, and Chinese sausage. The products are certified with 3-star OCOP certification, making consumption easier with stable prices: beef jerky 1,000,000 VND/kg, pork jerky 600,000 VND/kg, smoked pork belly 400,000 VND/kg, and Chinese sausage 350,000 VND/kg.

Ms. Kha Thi Dung - Head of the Tuong Duong Tamarind Processing Cooperative, shared: “We started producing tamarind candy in 2021, using raw materials from ripe tamarinds provided by local people. Tamarinds are processed with a ratio of 65% ripe tamarinds and 35% sugar, creating a fragrant tamarind candy product that can be used to mix soft drinks, make sauces or spices to cook typical dishes such as sweet and sour ribs, steamed shrimp...".
In the summer, the output of tamarind is very stable, with an average consumption of over 3,000 boxes per month, with a reasonable selling price of 60,000 VND/box. The product is loved by customers for its smooth consistency, sweet taste, mild aroma and clean processing process. Therefore, tamarind is always "out of stock".
