On June 20, 2024, at Thu Dau Mot University, a scientific seminar took place with the theme "Developing digital technology human resources, technology 4.0 for Binh Duong province and the Southeast region".
Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Doan Ngoc Xuan, Chairman of the Council of Thu Dau Mot University, said that in the context of the fourth industrial revolution taking place strongly, training and developing high-quality human resources, understanding and mastering digital technology, has become a key factor determining the success of localities in integration and sustainable development. Thu Dau Mot University, with the mission of training high-quality human resources, constantly strives to keep up with trends and meet the practical needs of society.
Dr. Doan Ngoc Xuan said that the seminar is an opportunity to discuss, share and learn practical experiences, the latest trends, as well as challenges and opportunities in developing digital technology human resources, contributing to the overall development of Binh Duong province and the Southeast region.
At the seminar, many delegates said that semiconductor technology is currently one of the pioneering fields, playing a key role in the development of digital technology and Industry 4.0. Investing in and developing this industry not only helps improve the competitiveness of businesses but also contributes significantly to the socio-economic development of localities such as Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the speakers, the semiconductor industry is the foundation of many modern technologies and plays an extremely important role in the development of the digital economy. In Vietnam, this industry is gradually asserting its position in the global supply chain, however, there are still many challenges and development opportunities that we need to work together to overcome and grasp.
Mr. Tong Phuoc Thien, Director of Operations at Estec Digital, emphasized the content of "Model of a factory applying 4.0 technology". He said that in the context of the fourth industrial revolution taking place strongly, the application of 4.0 technology in production has become an inevitable trend to improve productivity, quality and competitiveness of enterprises. Advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and automation have been completely changing the way factories operate, creating new values and opening up many development opportunities.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoai, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Artificial Intelligence, a prestigious expert with many years of experience in the field of AI training, said that artificial intelligence (AI) is gradually becoming an indispensable part of modern life and is the key to unlocking unlimited potential in many fields such as healthcare, education, business and manufacturing. Training high-quality human resources in AI is a key factor to take advantage of the opportunities that this technology brings, while meeting the increasing demands of the labor market. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoai shared his knowledge and experience to help delegates better understand the situation of AI training in Vietnam; providing suggestions and solutions to improve the quality of training in this field.

On this occasion, Thu Dau Mot University and businesses signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote extensive cooperation in the fields of education, training and scientific research, while opening up many development opportunities for both the school and businesses.
Within the framework of the seminar, Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company awarded certificates of completion of the Advanced Microchip Design Training Course (Physical Design & Design Verification) for lecturers to 23 lecturers of Thu Dau Mot University (including 3 engineers, 14 masters and 6 doctors). The course was organized by Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company with the support of the National Innovation Center (NIC), Ho Chi Minh City High Technology Training Center (SHTP) and major semiconductor corporations such as Synopsys and Candence. The course is an intensive training program, aiming to equip teachers with the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of microchips./.
