Fine for distorting information 7.5 million VND

On June 14, the Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications of Binh Duong province in coordination with the Binh Duong Provincial Police invited Mr. NTP (born in 1995, Dinh Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province) to work and issued a decision to administratively fine him 7.5 million VND for "Providing and sharing information that insults the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor and dignity of individuals".

Mr. NTP works with authorities.

Regarding the incident in which subjects used weapons to attack the headquarters of a state agency in Dak Lak province, Mr. NTP used a mobile phone to log into his personal Facebook account named "Pii Nguyen" and then posted information that incited disorder and insulted the honor of the people's police force on Facebook.

Through working with the authorities, Mr. P. realized that his behavior violated the law and said that the posting was only impulsive, momentary, and limited in awareness; at the same time, Mr. P. apologized and pledged not to repeat the above behavior.

The Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications of Binh Duong province has decided to impose an administrative fine of VND 7.5 million on Mr. P. for the act of "Providing and sharing information that insults the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor and dignity of individuals" and forced the removal of false information posted in violation of the law.
