At the conference, delegates heard comrade Ngo Le Van - Deputy Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, briefly inform about the State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

Accordingly, at the 6th Session, the National Assembly thoroughly discussed the situation and results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan, state finance and budget, and public investment in 2023 and passed the Resolution on the socio-economic development plan, state budget estimates, and central budget allocation plan in 2024; decided on the public investment plan in 2024; gave opinions on the mid-term assessment report on the results of the implementation of the 5-year plans for the period 2021 - 2025 on socio-economic development, economic restructuring, medium-term public investment, national finance and borrowing and repayment of public debt; the 3-year finance - budget and public investment plan for 2024 - 2026; and the results of the implementation of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program.

The National Assembly considered and voted to pass 7 laws, including: Law on Identity Cards; Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level; Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones; Law on Housing (amended); Law on Real Estate Business (amended); Law on Water Resources (amended); Law on Telecommunications (amended). The National Assembly also voted and passed 9 resolutions and carried out many other important contents.

In recent times, the Central Propaganda Department and propaganda departments at all levels have closely followed important political events of the country, the region and the world that have attracted public attention, developed plans and organized conferences for reporters to promptly provide information and propaganda directions for reporters at all levels and grassroots propagandists. At the same time, they have proactively developed plans and organized the dissemination, propaganda and implementation of the Central Committee's directives and resolutions, contributing to creating unity within the Party and high consensus in society.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and analyzing the limitations in oral propaganda work last year and proposed solutions to improve effectiveness in the coming time. The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department emphasized: Propaganda departments at all levels continue to thoroughly grasp and strongly promote the role and importance of oral propaganda work as well as the responsibility of the reporting team; innovate content, increase the persuasiveness of oral propaganda work; combine propaganda work well with grasping public opinion; strengthen the application of IT... In addition, it is necessary to focus on propagating and disseminating the resolutions of the 13th Party Central Committee Conference and the resolutions, directives, conclusions and regulations of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat.

On this occasion, the Central Propaganda Department awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 10 individuals nationwide for their outstanding achievements in oral propaganda and reporter activities in 2023.

In Ha Tinh, as of November 2023, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has organized 11 conferences for reporters, including 6 in-person conferences and 5 online conferences at district and commune levels with more than 4,900 delegates attending; the district level has organized 151 conferences combining in-person and online conferences at the grassroots level. The information content at the conferences is carefully selected, ensuring practicality, timeliness, and suitability for the audience.

The organization of rotating reporter conferences between units continues to be effective. Many localities have organized reporter activities in rotation at communes, wards and towns to combine propaganda work with improving the quality of activities of the grassroots reporter team.

The activities of reporters and oral propaganda have contributed to effectively propagating the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws into life; raising awareness and strengthening people's trust in the Party's leadership and State's management; arousing and promoting the tradition of solidarity and the spirit of self-reliance of the nation.
