By the afternoon of July 1, Go Vap District Police had verified the identity and clarified the cause of a man's death on the rooftop of a house on Nguyen Van Khoi Street, Ward 8, Go Vap District.
The victim was identified as the owner of the house, who died while repairing electricity.
Accordingly, at more than 3 p.m. the same day, the homeowner went to the rooftop to repair the electricity when suddenly the victim had a seizure and became unconscious. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Go Vap District Police dispatched specialized vehicles and many officers and soldiers to the scene to organize the rescue.
The victim was brought to the ground but died. It was raining outside at the time of the incident.
Go Vap District Police were also present to examine the scene and take statements from those involved to clarify the incident. Initial assessment is that the victim may have died from electric shock. The incident is still under investigation.

This is the second electrical repair accident that killed two people on July 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Earlier, on the morning of July 1, another victim named T., while climbing onto the roof to repair the air conditioner at an educational facility at 45 Dinh Tien Hoang (Ben Nghe Ward, District 1), also had a seizure and died. Authorities determined that the victim died from electrocution.
