The Department of Transport has just issued a document on temporary traffic diversion on National Highway 279, from Bao Ha commune to Pho Rang town, Bao Yen district.
Accordingly, to ensure safe and convenient traffic, the Department of Transport will divert traffic to Pho Rang town, going from Pho Lu IC17 intersection (Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway) ↔ National Highway 70 ↔ Pho Rang town (not going from IC16 intersection to Pho Rang town).



It is expected that if the weather is favorable and no landslides occur, the landslide clearance on National Highway 279 will be completed by around 6:00 p.m. on August 7.
As Lao Cai Newspaper reported, at around 9:00 a.m. on August 7, a landslide occurred on National Highway 279 with a large amount of soil and rock, causing traffic congestion.

Specifically, the landslide occurred at Km 80+530, National Highway 279, in Bong 2 village, Bao Ha commune, Bao Yen district. The landslide prevented vehicles from traveling on National Highway 279 from Bao Ha commune to Pho Rang town, Bao Yen district and vice versa.
