Quarter I-2025: Many outstanding cultural, sports and tourism activities

In the first quarter, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong effectively implemented many outstanding activities, from relic management, festival organization, sports development to tourism promotion.

Total tourist arrivals reached about 1.1 million, up more than 10% over the same period last year, with revenue reaching 665 billion VND.

Performing arts activities, exhibitions, and propaganda activities are widely organized, contributing to improving people's spiritual life.

Delegates speak and discuss at the conference

At the conference, localities raised a number of issues such as: difficulties in managing relics when switching to a two-level government; the facilities of cultural departments and cultural centers are not yet synchronized; difficulties in determining the operating unit and taking over cultural institutions after the administrative unit is reorganized.

Delegates also shared many effective models and proposed specific solutions, suitable to the characteristics of each locality, to ensure that the cultural institutional system is truly effective, contributing to preserving cultural identity and promoting sustainable development.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Bui Huu Toan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized that the second quarter of 2025 is a time with many major cultural events, an opportunity for the whole industry to continue to innovate its forms of operation, increase the application of technology, promote the effectiveness of cultural and sports institutions at the grassroots level, and at the same time improve state management capacity in the period of administrative model transformation.

The conference also approved key targets for the second quarter and set out directions to improve the quality of operations throughout the industry, with a spirit of proactiveness, solidarity and flexible adaptation in the context of restructuring the organizational system and grassroots management model throughout the province.
