Van Ban: Summary of the Project to support women in starting a business, phase 2018

In recent years, the Women's Union of Van Ban district has focused on implementing projects under Project 939, including: improving the livelihoods of people in 4 villages of 2 communes of Tan Thuong and Nam Ma; increasing income for people through value chain development, phase 2021 - 2023; implementing the AP1 green hemp production and consumption chain in the district led by women, phase 2019-2021... attracting a large number of members, women and people in the district to participate.

In the period of 2018 - 2025, the District Women's Union supported 6 women with feasible business startup ideas to participate in the provincial startup program; coordinated with specialized sectors to support consulting on building 7 brands, labels, and products owned by women; established and maintained over 30 affiliated groups with thousands of women members participating; connected and entrusted with banks to support over 3,000 member households to borrow capital to start businesses, create jobs, with a total outstanding debt of 234 billion VND...

Up to now, Van Ban district has had 20 economic models and production organizations owned by members and women; there are many products in the direction of goods, ensuring quality, contributing to promoting local economic development.

In the coming time, the Women's Union of Van Ban district will continue to focus on improving the quality of activities of cooperatives and women-owned cooperatives, in conjunction with promoting information technology and digital transformation activities to promote and introduce products, link to create product output, contributing to the completion of the district's common tasks. Build effective production and business models for replication, focusing on cooperative models and cooperatives associated with linkages in production and product consumption.
