Most students of Ho Chi Minh City National University choose to work in Ho Chi Minh City after graduation.

According to the results of the 2023 employment survey, member schools of Ho Chi Minh City National University recorded that the majority of students after graduation chose Ho Chi Minh City as their workplace.

Of which, the University of Economics and Law leads with 96.17% of students working in Ho Chi Minh City. This school only recorded 1.85% working in their hometown and 1.78% working in other localities. Similarly, the International University has 91.67% of students choosing Ho Chi Minh City as their workplace; 3.79% of students return to their hometown to work and 4.55% choose other localities outside of Ho Chi Minh City.

Students from engineering and technology schools tend to choose more diverse work locations, but the majority still choose Ho Chi Minh City as their place of work after graduation. The University of Information Technology records that the percentage of students working in Ho Chi Minh City is about 80%.

Results from the University of Technology show that the majority of graduates choose Ho Chi Minh City as their career development destination (67.98%). The southern provinces (excluding Ho Chi Minh City) attract a significant number of students (21.61%); the rate of working in the central and northern provinces (7.66%), working or studying abroad is 2.75%.

From the above data, Ho Chi Minh City National University recognizes that the majority of students of this university after graduating from university have chosen Ho Chi Minh City as a place to serve and contribute. On the other hand, this also shows the strong attraction of Ho Chi Minh City thanks to the developed high-level labor market, diverse occupations and clear promotion opportunities.

In 2023, Ho Chi Minh City National University will have a training scale of about 94,000 full-time university students and more than 8,000 graduate and doctoral students. Each year, this university provides nearly 20,000 bachelors, engineers, architects, doctors, pharmacists, masters, and doctors in almost all fields for Ho Chi Minh City, the Southern provinces, the Central Highlands, the coastal region, and the South Central region.
