The Provincial Party Executive Committee voted to elect Mr. Vu Quyet Tien to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee. As a result, Mr. Vu Quyet Tien was elected as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, with an absolute vote of confidence (44/44 votes).

Provincial Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang affirmed that the absolute voting rate showed the high spirit of solidarity and unanimity of the Standing Committee, the Party Executive Committee and the key cadres of the province; at the same time, he hoped that Mr. Vu Quyet Tien, in his new position, would continue to promote his qualities and intelligence together with the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to excellently complete the assigned tasks, contributing to the overall development of the province.

Mr. Vu Quyet Tien, born on July 20, 1972, hometown Nam Thanh commune, Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province; has qualifications: Master of Public Administration, Master of Economic Management and Bachelor of Law, senior political theory.

Mr. Vu Quyet Tien has held positions such as: Secretary of Cam Pha Town Youth Union, Deputy Head of Cam Pha Town Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Secretary of Cua Ong Ward Party Committee (Cam Pha), Head of Cam Pha Town Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of Cam Pha City People's Council's Socio-Economic Committee, Vice Chairman and then Chairman of Cam Pha City People's Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Cam Pha City People's Council, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department and Director of Quang Ninh Province Department of Home Affairs, Secretary of Ha Long City Party Committee.

Also at the conference, the Provincial Party Executive Committee discussed and approved the plan to rearrange commune-level administrative units. The opinions were basically in agreement with the plan that the Provincial Party Standing Committee unanimously submitted to the Executive Committee; at the same time, analyzing and clarifying the potential and development advantages of commune-level administrative units after the rearrangement. The project of not organizing the district level and rearranging commune-level administrative units in Quang Ninh province was systematically and scientifically built on the basis of the participation of sectors and localities.

The Provincial Party Executive Committee assigned relevant agencies to study and develop criteria and standards for commune-level cadres as a basis for arranging and assigning cadres after merging commune-level administrative units, ensuring the building of a cadre team with sufficient capacity, qualities, and prestige to meet task requirements.
