Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong was re-elected Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thang Binh district.

During the past term, implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the Thang Binh District Front propagated and mobilized people to contribute 4.6 billion VND, donating more than ^286,000m2land, participated in more than 36,600 working days to build rural roads, intra-field roads, village/neighborhood cultural activity houses, and sports and physical activity areas.

The Fund for the Poor raised more than 16.3 billion VND, supporting the construction and repair of 433 solidarity houses for poor households. The District Front also chaired negotiations with member organizations to support livelihoods to help 164 households escape poverty sustainably, contributing to reducing the poverty rate in the district to 2.27%.

The Front from district to grassroots level organized 305 conferences to contribute ideas to the drafting of legal documents of the central, provincial, district and communal levels; more than 200 supervision meetings, and 79 social criticism conferences.

Activities to contribute ideas to Party and government building have been promoted with more than 700 forums organized; in which many direct dialogue forums have promptly resolved urgent issues arising among the people, creating consensus and strengthening solidarity and close ties between the people and the Party and State.

The Congress elected 63 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thang Binh district, term XI. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong was re-elected Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district.
