Pika Veseline Valentinovna (born in 2005, Vietnamese name is Nguyen Hoang Anh Thy) is currently a first-year student of the Faculty of Urban Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
"I am a foreign student but I am lucky to be able to study national defense and security education with students of course K431. I personally feel very happy and pleased when the teachers and lecturers allow me to stay and experience it.
Before the military service, I was very excited to wait for the day of 'enlistment' because I would learn more interesting knowledge about national defense and security as well as consolidate my knowledge about the glorious history of the Vietnamese people," Pika Veseline shared.
Pika Veseline Valentinovna said that from the first days at the center, she was very excited to participate in many activities such as playing volleyball, doing morning exercises, cleaning the cafeteria, sweeping the yard, folding and arranging household chores every morning, and practicing marching.
Along with that are military defense lessons, weapons and practice sessions... she gets to experience being a real soldier.
"Every day, I see myself improving in many ways, such as waking up early, folding my bed neatly, exercising, eating enough meals, and strengthening my team spirit...
I was treated fairly and equally by teachers and classmates. Living and studying were also the same, which made me feel the spirit of solidarity more clearly.
I did not feel lost or lonely, on the contrary, I was able to interact and connect with many new friends in different departments and faculties," Pika Veseline confided.

"When studying at the school, you all have motivations in terms of studying, approaching Vietnamese language and culture. The learning and living environment at the school helps you gain more understanding and affection for Vietnam. The school also creates conditions for you to develop your capacity, giving you a solid foundation for the future," said Mr. Nam.
According to Mr. Nam, Pika Veseline's feelings about studying national defense education are very genuine and cute.
"When going through the national defense education semester, students not only learn knowledge related to politics, military, national defense but also other life skills. This environment allows students to practice, experience and enjoy the most of the time that university brings," Mr. Nam added.
