People's Artist Ngoc Giau returns to the stage of traditional opera

On the morning of October 26, artist Binh Tinh said that in the upcoming performance on the evening of November 4, People's Artist Ngoc Giau will appear in the play "Yin and Yang Battle" at Hong Lien theater, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City.

"I went to the recording studio to prepare for the live show of artist Phuong Lien and met People's Artist Ngoc Giau. She asked about the activities of the Huynh Long Traditional Opera Troupe. Through that, she knew that I was preparing for the performance of the play "Am Duong Tran", so she volunteered to take on a supporting role in this play" - artist Binh Tinh said.

Director Meritorious Artist Huu Quoc was excited because it had been a long time since he had the opportunity to work with her. Now her health is better, so she can participate in performing on the traditional opera stage.

"For the Huynh Long brand, this is a good sign that we are looking forward to, because she used to perform with my mother - the late artist Bach Mai in the scene "Chung Vo Diem", then performed with the late Meritorious Artist Ngoc Dang in the excerpt "Luong Son Ba - Chuc Anh Dai"... so many beautiful memories for us" - artist Binh Tinh shared.

The role of People's Artist Ngoc Giau is related to the story of On Hoang Dieu, from which Cao Quan Bao finds a way to defeat the enemy and protect the country. Her co-star is Bella - the daughter of artist Binh Tinh.

People's Artist Ngoc Giau said she was happy to perform with three generations of the Huynh Long family: "Before, I performed with Bach Mai, later performed with Binh Tinh, and now performed with Bella. It is truly a fate to work with a family that has eaten the ancestors' rice for generations and served the stage with all their heart. I am excited for the day I can perform this special song."
