In the digital transformation era, flower gardeners in Cho Lach district (Ben Tre) have quickly grasped information via the internet and sold flowers via social networks. It is not difficult to see Cho Lach gardeners confidently livestreaming to sell products on digital platforms without intermediaries.
Vinh Thanh Commune (Cho Lach District) has 12 ornamental flower seedlings craft villages. Every year, the locality produces more than 6 million ornamental flower products, of which the main product is yellow apricot trees, in addition to kumquat trees, bonsai, leafy plants, and hanging flowers. Changing the method of marketing and consuming products, in 2024, the commune government coordinated with FELIX Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company to guide 55 farmers to register accounts and download apps to trade and buy and sell on e-commerce products.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Ninh in Vinh Hung 1 Hamlet, Vinh Thanh Commune has 1.7 hectares of garden land growing grafted apricot trees. Thanks to active promotion on social networks, yellow apricot trees are sold all year round instead of just waiting for traders during the traditional Tet holiday like before. This Tet holiday alone, sales increased by 1.5 - 2 times, with Mr. Ninh selling more than 20 orders a day. Each order ranges from a few hundred thousand to about 2 - 3 million VND.
“At first, I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to sell it, that people would abandon it. But I thought that if others could do it, I could do it too. I tried it and found it effective. Now I sell every day, and my income is better,” said Mr. Ninh.
A tiktoker at Ngoc Giau ornamental flower nursery (Long Thoi commune, Cho Lach district) also said that the facility has an online sales team of about 5-6 people. With 2 social media accounts, the employees take turns livestreaming to introduce ornamental flowers to viewers on the online community. For nearly a month now, this facility has sold more than 500 pots of raspberry chrysanthemums every day via social media.

This year, local flower and ornamental villages produced about 12 million products of all kinds to supply the Lunar New Year market.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Cho Lach district, up to now, a large amount of flowers and ornamental plants have been ordered by traders, the rest are brought to the Tet market for sale by people, especially online sales account for 30-40%. Every year, the locality contacts and connects with flower markets in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces so that people can rent lots to sell flowers and ornamental plants during the Tet holiday.
The market for buying and selling ornamental flowers in this countryside has now begun to become bustling. In particular, the recently held Ornamental Flower Festival has attracted tens of thousands of tourists to Cho Lach, contributing to stimulating the consumption of this product.
