Students from Vinh Long University of Technical Education represent Vietnam to participate in 5/7 occupations at the ASEAN Skills Competition 2023
Vinh Long University of Technical Education is a multi-disciplinary, multi-level and multi-system university training in the fields of technology, economics and society. At the same time, it is a vocational skills assessment center, a center for scientific research and technology transfer, contributing effectively to the development of the Mekong Delta region and the whole country.
The school currently trains nearly 12,000 students and students studying in 7 faculties, 49 majors at university level, from science and technology to socio-economics, for 3 training programs including: mass system, training engineers to work in Japan and 2+2 joint program with Tongmyong University - Korea; graduate training with 16 master's majors and 6 doctoral training majors.
The outstanding strength of Vinh Long University of Technical Education is its teaching staff, including: 5 Associate Professors, 67 PhDs, 207 Masters, many of whom graduated from leading universities at home and abroad.
Vinh Long University of Technical Education effectively uses equipment from the SKIEG Project to improve students' skills for international integration.
With the mission of training in an application-oriented manner, along with ensuring the quality of basic majors, strongly developing applied majors, science and technology, the school has achieved the quality accreditation of university education institutions according to Circular 12 of the Ministry of Education and Training, the training program has achieved quality accreditation according to Circular 04. Along with that, the school cooperates with ASIIN (Germany) - the organization that assesses the quality of the school's programs and training levels, Skill International (New Zealand) to grant international vocational skills certificates to students through regular updates of the training program to help students easily adapt to the changes of today's society.
Faced with the opportunities and challenges brought by the 4.0 industrial revolution, Vinh Long University of Technical Education has built a strategy to take the lead in technology through investment from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), with a budget of 8.4 million USD and the school's own funds; equipping modern facilities and practice equipment for training majors, providing students with the best practice conditions, enhancing their knowledge of technology, and gaining practical experience with the world's leading technologies. Thanks to that, the school's students always achieve high scores in national, ASEAN and international vocational skills competitions, especially in 4.0 occupations such as: network cable installation, mechatronics, mobile application development, mobile robots, etc., thereby making it easy for them to catch up with work after graduation.
In addition, the school also promotes international cooperation with foreign universities and organizations such as: Canada, Korea, Japan, France, New Zealand... including prestigious leading experts in many fields of mechanics, automation, information technology, management and tourism...

In addition to constantly improving the quality of training, the school always focuses on building relationships, linking supply and demand with domestic and foreign enterprises, receiving the trust and investment of enterprises, and firmly building prestige.
