'The steps of the green warrior'

On November 18, the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group in 2024 held a press conference before the start date. The tournament is hosted by Binh Phuoc Radio and Television Station and Binh Phuoc Newspaper, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Binh Phuoc Provincial Youth Union and Dong Xoai City People's Committee. Truong Tuoi Group Joint Stock Company is the main sponsor of the tournament.

The two ambassadors of the tournament, 'Vietnam Marathon King' Hoang Nguyen Thanh and SEA Games 31 bronze medalist Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa, introduced the medals of this year's tournament.

The second Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group with the message "The Run of Green Warriors" was opened on the evening of November 23 at Dong Xoai City Square and took place on the morning of November 24. The tournament attracted more than 10,000 domestic and international athletes, tourists and fans (twice as many as the first season). The tournament consisted of 5 competition distances, including: 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km for professional athletes at home and abroad; people who regularly practice sports, running groups; students, pupils... Notably, this year's tournament has an additional 2 km distance for children.

The route is 42 km long.

The awards are divided into two groups: professional and amateur for the 21km and 42km distances. In particular, there are awards for clubs/teams/groups with the largest number of registered members; awards for children; and cosplay awards.

Ms. Duong Thi Thao, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Xoai City People's Committee, said that the tournament is an opportunity for the city to promote the strengths of the locality to investors and people across the country. This is also an opportunity for athletes and people across the country to experience the beautiful roads through Dong Xoai City, Suoi Cam Lake... enjoy the cuisine through specialties, famous OCOP products in the locality, which will certainly leave many unforgettable impressions for athletes and tourists.

The tournament hopes to inspire the young generation to participate in physical activities and sports earlier and more often, build a healthy lifestyle, love the environment and take positive actions to protect the environment, for a green and healthy Binh Phuoc and Vietnam.
