Group of 7th grade students beat up classmate and sent him to the hospital

On November 15, the Department of Education and Training of Ham Thuan Nam district (Binh Thuan province) reported on a case in which a 7th grade student in the area was beaten by a group of friends, leading to hospitalization.

Accordingly, after the incident occurred, relevant units requested Thuan Nam Secondary School to urgently, within its management authority, organize a review to clarify the responsibilities of the collectives and individuals involved in the incident that affected the health and psychology of students and handle it according to regulations.

For NLTM (7th grade student, Thuan Nam Secondary School) - the person beaten at Tan Lap Lake, the school went to Binh Thuan General Hospital to inquire about his health and encourage him so that he could rest assured and recover so that he could return to school soon to continue studying.

On the afternoon of November 12, the hospital allowed M. to go home for continued monitoring and care at home. On November 13, the family took her to Children's Hospital 2 (HCMC) for a psychological examination.

Regarding the group of students who beat up their friend, Thuan Nam Secondary School temporarily suspended 6 students from school, including 1 student until the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

Previously, at around 9:30 a.m. on November 7, M. was beaten by four female students (all 7th graders) from Thuan Nam Secondary School. In addition, one student used a phone to record the incident.

The initial cause, according to M.'s statement, was that a female friend (one of the female students who beat her) blamed her for losing her helmet, which led to the above incident.
