Attending the Dieu Tri Palace Banquet to celebrate 100 years of Cao Dai religion

Originally the birthplace of Cao Dai, Tay Ninh has long been a holy land, attracting tens of thousands of followers from all over the country to attend the Yao Chi Palace Festival - the most important festival of Cao Dai religion, taking place on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every year. This great festival originated from an ancient story of Emperor Wu of Han welcoming the Mother Buddha on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, which was later accepted by Cao Dai and elevated to an important part of its teachings and rituals.

This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival is a particularly important one as the Yao Chi Palace Festival is held to mark the 100th anniversary of the Cao Dai religion. Cao Dai followers solemnly perform traditional rituals to pray for a just and benevolent world, pray for favorable weather, and sing and dance joyfully to the beautiful dragon and incense dances, unicorn and turtle dances.

Fruit trays are shaped like the four sacred animals: dragon, unicorn, turtle, and phoenix, displayed very vividly during this festival. This will be a place for people and tourists to admire sophisticated items that cannot be found anywhere else in Tay Ninh.

Join the Mid-Autumn Festival on the "roof of the South"

At 986m above sea level, Ba Den Mountain is the highest mountain in the South and is the destination of many unique festivals. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the mountain top is immersed in the brilliant colors of hundreds of star lanterns, giant lanterns and moon models that light up the mountain top and at night.

On this occasion, on the legendary Ba Den mountain, the quintessence of Southern culture is recreated with skillful Chhay dam drum dances, graceful Khmer dances, or melodious pentatonic music performances...
