When the weather changes, bone and joint milk "gets a new level"
Cold weather is also the time when musculoskeletal pain strikes because at this time the nerve endings become sensitive, the ability to feel pain is also clearer. This condition is not only found in the elderly, people with long-term osteoarthritis but also appears more and more in young people, causing limited mobility, greatly affecting the quality of life.
Therefore, supplementing nutrients to help strengthen bones and joints through nutritional products such as milk is an essential need at the end of the year.
Milk is the top choice when it comes to nutritional supplements for the musculoskeletal system. Therefore, ensuring the quality of milk also ensures the health of the musculoskeletal system.
As a person who has been selling powdered milk for musculoskeletal system for many years, Ms. Ngoc Anh (Ha Dong district, Hanoi) said that in the last months of the year, this type of milk sells very well because many people need to increase their nutrition when the weather changes.
"In the past month, the weather has started to get cold, and my orders for bone and joint milk have almost doubled. The buyers are not only the elderly, but also young people or children buying for their grandparents and parents," Ms. Ngoc Anh shared.
The "grass milk" matrix confuses consumers
Growing rapidly like weeds recently, the name "grass milk" is causing confusion for consumers when choosing nutritional products.
"Grass milk" is imported from abroad , processed in Vietnam and sold on grocery shelves or advertised for sale only 2 weeks after applying for a business license . In terms of ingredients and origin, the milk powder of a box of "grass milk" is imported with unknown origin, untested quality, and information about labels or brands is almost non-existent or very difficult to find on the market.
These milk lines are often promoted on social networks or through the names of celebrities and TikTokers with the commitment to enhancing nutrients for the body.
Besides the big brands that are familiar to consumers, a series of "grass milk" types have sprung up like mushrooms with the "3 no criteria": No label, unknown origin, no quality assurance.
Since the end of 2022, the powdered milk market has recorded many establishments being criminally prosecuted for producing poor quality powdered milk. A typical case is the case of milk quality of a dairy company in Hanoi only reaching less than 70% of the declared quality level, posing a risk to the health of consumers. Previously, 5,316 boxes of fake Omega 369 Q10 Alaska powdered milk produced by a business in Dak Nong were also destroyed by authorities.
"Grass milk" depends on the fake ingredients and the hygiene safety of the production process, there will be different levels of danger, mild can cause stomach ache, nausea, more severe can cause diarrhea, poisoning, affect the respiratory system.
However, the milk advertisements flooding the market are causing confusion and disarray for consumers, making them not know which milk is quality. Mr. Cong Do (District 3, HCMC) said: "When I first went online to buy milk for my mother, I was very confused because there were too many types , the inspection papers were similar to each other, consumers who do not know as well as me find it difficult to distinguish between real and fake, and do not know if the quality is as promised. I am afraid that after drinking, my bones are not strong and I will get more diseases."
How to avoid "losing money and getting sick" when buying milk?
Experts recommend that in the current "matrix" of the musculoskeletal milk powder market, consumers need to carefully research the origin and quality of the product before buying. Buyers need to choose large brands with long-standing reputation in the market, avoiding products of unknown origin and without labels.
Actively exercise along with supplementing quality nutrients to keep your bones and joints healthy and flexible all year round.
In addition, to ensure the right supply of nutrients for the musculoskeletal system, consumers should prioritize choosing products containing suitable active ingredients. These include the active ingredient MFGM - a type of milk fat globule membrane, which has a similar composition to that in the body's joint structure, helping to strengthen muscle health. In addition, users can consider nutritional supplements through reputable milk products containing many beneficial ingredients such as protein, magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin B for strong muscles, calcium for strong bones, collagen & vitamin C for flexible joints.
