On March 14, information from the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union said that Nguyen Ba Bien, a 12A7 student at Nguyen Trai High School (Yen Phong District, Bac Ninh), had just returned more than 600 million VND to the person who lost it.

On the same day, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Nguyen Ba Bien said that at around 6:00 p.m. on March 12, on his way home from school, he saw a dark-colored cloth bag lying on the side of the road in Tien Tra village, Trung Nghia commune, Yen Phong district.

Bien thought it was someone's lost item, but it was dark at the time so he didn't open it to check. When he got home, Bien opened the cloth bag and found inside 635 million VND in cash and some personal documents bearing the name Nguyen Duy T..

This male student immediately brought the above assets to Trung Nghia Commune Police to report and find the person who dropped them to return them.

"I think if I put myself in the position of someone who lost such a large amount of money, I would be very worried and insecure. It certainly took a lot of effort to make this money. If I used this money, I would also be breaking the law," Bien said, adding that "my parents and teachers always told me that if I found something lost, I had to find the person who returned it."

Using professional measures, Trung Nghia Commune Police searched for and identified the person whose property was lost in Trung Nghia Commune.

The commune police then coordinated with functional agencies, organizations, and Nguyen Ba Bien to return the property to him.

"My family's economy is not rich but it is enough to spend. I am not greedy to take other people's money. Returning the money to the person who dropped it makes me feel very happy and proud of myself," Bien said with a smile, adding, "In the past few days, neighbors, teachers and friends have all praised my good deed."

Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha - Secretary of the Youth Union of Nguyen Trai High School - said that Bien's act of returning a large amount of money to the person who lost it was a good deed, worthy of praise, to spread to many people to do useful work.
