(BGDT) - Building a cultural family is an important content of the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life, which is actively implemented by localities, villages, hamlets, residential groups, and families in Bac Giang province. Each village and neighborhood has more and more prosperous, equal, progressive, and happy families.
Actively respond
In residential group 4B, Tran Nguyen Han ward (Bac Giang city), the construction of the Cultural Family has been well received by households. On Sundays, each family sends one person to participate in cleaning the environment in alleys and public places. Ms. Le Thi Kim Nghi is currently the head of residential group 4B. Having worked in the residential group for nearly 15 years, Ms. Nghi has always upheld her responsibility, is ready to shoulder and excellently complete the tasks assigned by her superiors. In the donation and support movements, her family has always been an exemplary leader, and actively mobilized other households to participate.

On June 22, her family was one of 10 outstanding families awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial Women's Union at the Women's Creative Startup and Happy Family Building Festival.
Mr. Vi Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Nguyen Han Ward, said: Criteria such as implementing a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals, environmental sanitation, population policies; complying with laws on traffic order and safety; developing family economy from legitimate sources of income... are promoted by the ward; exemplary families are promptly commended for replication. Every year, the rate of culturalized families in the ward reaches 93-94%.
For many years, the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ninh in Cham village, Nghia Hung commune (Lang Giang) has achieved the title of Cultural Family and has been recognized by many levels and sectors. Mrs. Ninh has been the head of the Women's Association of the village for 22 years. She and her husband have 5 children, all of whom are now adults and work in state agencies and enterprises. Many generations live under the same roof, but the members are always in harmony and work together to build a happy family. Now the couple are both over 60 years old but still work hard in the garden, earning more than 250 million VND each year.
They have always been exemplary in all movements launched by the locality, actively participating in public service activities, mobilizing people to respond to the movement of building new rural areas, model villages, and typical cultural villages. Her family was once chosen by the commune as a place to hold an economical and civilized wedding.
“My husband and I believe that to build a cultural family, first of all, members must be united, love and respect each other. Parents must be shining examples of morality, lifestyle, and good compliance with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies for their children to learn and follow,” said Ms. Ninh.
Promote propaganda, improve the quality of the movement
As an important content of the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life, in recent times, the movement to build a cultural family has received attention from localities in terms of leadership and direction, associated with emulation movements and campaigns.

In addition to implementing the directives and guidelines of the Central and Provincial Governments, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCT) coordinated with relevant sectors to advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue Project No. 216, dated July 31, 2020 on improving the quality of the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in the period of 2021-2025, including the content of improving the quality of cultural families. Focus on building typical examples such as: "Exemplary grandparents and parents, filial children"; "Family of 5 no's, 3 clean's"; "Raising healthy children, teaching good children"; "Family learning, clan learning"; "Farmer families doing well economically". Thereby promoting the movement to go deeper and deeper, have a spreading power, and become the goal of every family.
Building a cultural family also creates a foundation for taking good care of children and the elderly, spreading love and solidarity; strengthening village and neighborhood relationships, maintaining political security, social order and safety, and promoting emulation movements at the grassroots level.

Many localities have creative ways of working, linking the responsibility of leaders, the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members. For example, in Cao Xa commune (Tan Yen), the whole commune has 25 villages with more than 13,000 people, most of whom are farmers. The commune Party Committee issued a specialized resolution on building cultural titles, including the Cultural Family, assigning specific tasks to heads of departments, branches and organizations responsible to the Party Committee for the assigned tasks, in charge of villages and hamlets to implement the criteria.
Or in Tri Yen commune (Yen Dung), the construction of the Cultural Family is associated with the movement to build a new rural area. Thanks to active propaganda and mobilization, families have donated thousands of square meters of land to build roads, build cultural houses, harden canals; contribute labor and money to build public works. In October 2021, the commune reached the new rural area target 1 year ahead of schedule. By the end of 2023, the commune strives to reach the advanced new rural area standard.
In 2022, the whole province had more than 426 thousand households achieving cultural titles (reaching 91.9%), of which nearly 331 thousand households achieved cultural titles for 3 consecutive years or more and more than 9 thousand outstanding cultural households were commended and rewarded at all levels.
In the coming time, the Steering Committee of the movement for the whole people to unite to build a cultural life and family work in the province will continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct the promotion of propaganda, raising awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, organizations, individuals and the whole society in organizing and implementing the movement.
Incorporate criteria for building a prosperous, equal, progressive, and happy family; the content of the code of conduct in the family; and prevention of domestic violence into village and residential group conventions and regulations for implementation. Integrate the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life with the movement of building a new rural area, building a cultural and civilized lifestyle in public places. Organize competitions, performances, cultural, artistic, and sports festivals to meet the needs of enjoyment and improve the cultural and spiritual life of the people.
